Nueva Esperanza Nueva Esperanza is a residential bilingual program tailored for Hispanic women with alcohol and drug problems and their children. The stately Victorian on California Street is a haven for six mothers and 10 children with treatment taking from four to six months... MCSTART The mission of MCSTART (Monterey County Screening Team for Assessment Referral, and Treatment) is to provide a comprehensive system of community resources to identify, assess, refer and treat children who have been prenatally exposed to alcohol and other drugs. The program closes a critical gap in the previous system of care and both compliments... Outpatient Services Door to Hope’s Outpatient Program serves both men and women and offers them a structured alternative to more intensive residential care. Clients are in the program from three to four months and attend sessions two to three times per week. The program meets the requirements of Proposition 36 and Drug Court, and is a referral treatment program... Mentorship Having a mentor who has been where you are going is a blessing. Door to Hope has Mentor Moms and Dads for parents who have lost custody of their children, but who now have permission to reunite the family. And, we have Foster and Adoptive Mentors for those who are becoming either foster or adoptive parents for the first time...
